- Department: Personal Injury
- Role: Consultant
Mark is a Personal Injury Litigation Solicitor who has specialised in this area for almost 25 years.
Qualifying as a solicitor in 1994, Mark has been a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme since 1999.
Throughout his career Mark has worked for victims of personal injury and clinical negligence, agreeing (or obtaining by Court order) interim payments, facilitating packages of care, aids and equipment and securing tens of millions of pounds in compensation.
Helping those who have suffered catastrophic injuries (especially those who have suffered life-changing head injuries) and their families, Mark has litigated for protected parties, arranged personal injury trusts and worked with deputies of the Court of Protection.
For over two decades Mark has helped sufferers of debilitating pain conditions to obtain treatment and compensation. Mark’s considerable expertise in this area of law has lead to him being invited to give lectures about the medico-legal process to solicitors, barristers and medical experts.
Having previously worked for BLB for 15 years, in 2018 the partners were delighted to welcome Mark’s return to the firm’s chronic pain team.
A member of the Law Society’s Civil Justice Committee, Mark takes an active role in debate and discussion with other lawyers whose aim it is to keep under review and to promote improvements in civil litigation, including dispute resolution. Mark has also been a contributor to the Law Society’s Gazette.
Out of the office Mark enjoys spending time with his family and taking long walks with his (sometimes reluctant) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Betsy.
