Father’s Day treat at the races

Staff at BLB and their families enjoyed a fantastic day out at Castle Combe Circuit on Sunday 16th June where they were able to watch cars racing around the track at speeds of up to 160 mph.

The event was hosted by Wessex Chambers who had offered 1000’s of free tickets to their Chamber members including BLB. In spite of the wet weather, over 4000 people attended the Formula Ford 1600, Saloon and Sports and GT Championships where the region’s best drivers thrilled spectators who gasped when some cars skidded across the rain-swept track.

Frank Scott-Ashe, a partner at BLB, who was there with his family commented; “We are truly grateful to Wessex Chambers for inviting us to the races especially as for quite a few of us this would have been the first time at such an event.”
