Property Co-Ownership Dispute Solicitors

Should you have any questions, please call specialist property disputes solicitor, Mike Hansom on 01225 462871, email him or complete the Contact Form at the foot of this page.

People often own property in joint names, whether as an unmarried couple, or business partners.

If you own property jointly with somebody else, and you cannot agree what should happen to the property, where do you stand legally?

You might want to buy out your co owner, or to be bought out yourself.  What if there have been unequal contributions towards the purchase price, or changes over time to the way the property has been used, or who pays the outgoings?

Working out who is entitled to what can be complex and stressful, especially if the joint owners have fallen out.

“I am thrilled to inform you Mike that the money was received by the deadline. May I convey my very many thanks for everything you have all done to bring this unfortunate situation to a close.” AS, February 2018

Joint Ownership Experts

We have considerable experience in helping to resolve joint ownership disputes as cost effectively as possible. This means that in many cases we can assist you in finding a solution with your co-owner(s) through negotiation and mediation.

However, if that is not possible we have the expertise to represent you in a claim in the civil court to seek certainty as to the extent of your legal relationship with the other party and what must be done with the property.

“Thank you Mike for your diligence and ready accessibility; we really appreciated that.” MA, August 2018
