Wills are in the news again
July 15, 2011 at 11:51 AM
Wills have been making the headlines recently, as a Legal Services Board "mystery shopping exercise" has revealed that 1 in 5 wills does not make the grade. In addition the exercise revealed "sharp practices", and a high number of lost wills, mainly as a result of the company that drafted the will disappearing without trace. As a result of this exercise, the Legal Services Board has launched a statutory investigation.
If you are considering writing a will, or need your current one updated, make sure you use a reputable firm and make sure they have the relevant qualifications. BLB Solicitors can advise on the preparation of wills and the administration of estates, and on financial planning with particular emphasis on inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
