BLB Solicitors joins with the South West’s leading lawyers, accountants and funders to launch a unique service for businesses in the region.
The Exit Club (www.exit-club.co.uk) is designed to deliver a faster, more joined up and more cost-effective service for businesses considering an exit, whether it’s a family succession, trade sale, management buy-out, floatation or business closure.
The Club provides a free, no obligation forum where advisers such as lawyers and accountants work together, rather than independently, to deliver genuinely joined-up advice to individual businesses considering an exit. The South West’s leading advisers have signed up as Exit Club members to offer an initial free, no obligation forum for small to medium sized businesses.
The Exit Club works on a simple two-stage process. Business owners contacting the Club receive an initial free assessment of their objectives, followed by a free and confidential meeting with a group of advisers whose expertise and experience best suits their requirements. There is no obligation to connect with any advisers following this meeting. However, any business invited to the forum is welcome to instruct one or all firms taking part on the transaction being considered.
Club founder Tracey Williams (MD of Exigo Corporate Finance) said shortening the time taken to complete deals were major considerations for businesses of all sizes. “It is not often that businesses get the opportunity to discuss their requirements with all their advisers at the same time,” she said. “We have had an overwhelming response both from business owners who like the idea of a fast, cost-effective service that demystifies the exit process, and from professional advisers who see the benefits of being involved in a more joined-up way of working. We’re pleased to be able to offer a service that businesses were actively looking for, but were not able to find until now.”
